This project stands out as a true test of our expertise in welding and process control. We were entrusted with manufacturing a massive 15-ton impeller for a 3000KW fan, commissioned by a prestigious steel plant. The challenge lay in the material of construction—S960QL. Few manufacturers in India have the know-how to work with this high-strength grade, which demands extremely tight control over welding parameters, heat-treatment processes, and quality assurance at every step.
At the outset, we were transparent with our German customer that we had no prior experience with this material. Yet, their confidence in our capabilities and commitment gave us the green light to proceed. Rising to the challenge, our team undertook extensive internal trials and rigorous testing to develop the precise process parameters required.
The first impeller was manufactured successfully and subjected to the most stringent non-destructive testing, where it surpassed expectations. This achievement not only validated our technical expertise but also cemented our customer’s trust in our ability to deliver uncompromising quality.
Since then, we have successfully delivered more than six impellers of similar size within just six months and have recently secured another significant export order for these specialized impellers. This journey demonstrates not only our engineering strength but also our determination to embrace new challenges and deliver results that inspire confidence.
